Every few months someone asks us if AI is about to replace hospitality. Short answer: no. What it's actually replacing is the part nobody enjoyed anyway — demand forecasting, inventory guesswork, the 11pm "did we order enough paneer" panic.
The restaurants pulling ahead right now aren't the ones with the flashiest tech. They're the ones using it quietly, in the back office, so the front of house can focus on the one thing software still can't fake: actually making someone feel welcome.
